The UFO Monument

According to the story, Gösta Carlsson, known as the “Pollen King,” claimed to have witnessed a UFO landing in Sibirienskogen outside Ängelholm on 18 May 1946. At the site of the alleged landing, he had a scale model of the craft erected in 1972, based on how he remembered it. Over the years, the UFO monument in Ängelholm has become a popular excursion destination.

The story is told in the book Mötet i gläntan, written by Claes Svahn, chairman of UFO-Sverige, together with Gösta Carlsson. An excerpt from the book can be read here.
